Hubert started Endeit Capital in 2006 and has since been dedicated to partnering with founders to help grow and scale their companies.
He enjoys being involved in new and emerging activities. As one of the pioneers in the Dutch venture capital ecosystem, he began investing in the 1980s when the field was still in its infancy. As an angel investor he backed the Dutch social network Hyves, before the term “social media” even existed. He went on to establish Endeit to support scale-ups at a time when the designation “scale-up” was barely used, and co-founded the LOEY network of tech entrepreneurs well before accelerators and founder communities became mainstream. With Endeit he raised an AI-themed fund and became Founding Partner of AI.nl, well before OpenAI launched ChatGPT.
To inspire the next generation, he has also chaired the ‘Jong Ondernemen’ Foundation and helped launch Nyenrode New Business School, and is the author of Thinking BIC.
In 2023 Hubert was appointed Knight of the Order of Orange-Nassau by royal decree of the King of the Netherlands.
Hubert previously served on the Executive Board of Unicorn Endemol and held roles at Atlas Venture both in the US and Europe.
